Musher’s Cabin

$105/night   Sleeps 2 – 4

Add an overnight stay to your time at Black Spruce Dog Sledding! Available May 1 – Labor Day weekend (early September). In the winter, this cabin houses mushers training for the 1,000 mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. In summer, it’s a sweet retreat for visitors in search of “The Real Alaska.” You can even add a canine companion to make your stay really feel like home!

This authentic, log “Musher’s Cabin” is a 2-minute walk off the end of a dead-end road, adjacent to Black Spruce Dog Sledding. You’ll be nestled in on three sides by Fairbanks’ famous black spruce trees, with excellent southern sun exposure on the fourth side. Thick, local logs create natural air conditioning, so you’ll always be the right temperature. Awake to birds singing, and fall asleep to sled dogs howling in the distance.

Miles of walking trails with beautiful views can be accessed right out your front door – both easy and challenging terrain available. Cabin is also stocked with board games, puzzles and a charcoal grill. Other unique amenities include using an outhouse, and running a generator for power. Laundry and showers can be accessed at the laundromats in Fairbanks.

Ask us about use of camping gear, our canoe, or adding extra beds to your reservation. Make your trip complete by adding a canine companion and/or truck rental to your reservation!
