We start this tour by introducing you to the sport of long distance racing, and our Alaskan Huskies. Find out where this special breed came from, why they all look so different, and why they are the most popular sled dog used for racing. We encourage you to walk around the dog yard and meet their different personalities. They’re super friendly!
After introductions we’ll turn loose a group of dogs and hit the trail! We may be walking a portion of our adults or our puppies – depending on whose turn it is. The length of trail may be up to 3 miles, depending on the abilities of our visitors. If you want this experience, but have concerns about the distance or the terrain, please let us know during the booking process. We’ll be happy to accommodate you!
After the hiking portion of the tour you can check out all of our important winter mushing gear, including the dog sled and doggy clothing! Throughout the entire experience you will have plenty of time for photographs and doggy-loving.
Oh, did we mention there will be puppies at the end of the tour, too!?

This will vary slightly for each group. Walks for older visitors and/or younger dogs will probably be shorter. Hikes for energetic visitors and older dogs will be longer. Our longest trail is 3 miles. Most visitors spend between 2 and 3 hours here, from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave.
